Still getting a drop out in signal once my bass boat is on plane. I own 2 Lowrance Hook2 4x fishfinders - one for the trolling motor and one transom mounted on my old Ranger bass boat on the console. Images are nice.

Any tips would be appreciated. (Have looked at YouTube videos and may try remounting according to some of the tips.)

After 7 mph, the transom transducers are not designed to continue to pick up. Anglers should use their chart to stay in safe waters. Anglers should never rely on the depth shown on the sonar screen while faster than 7 mph as the bottom may become shallow causing the boat to ground and passengers to be injured.

I spoke with tech support at Lowrance and they said there is a way to mount the transducer so it doesn't lose the bottom. I've gone over 10 mph and see bottom and fish arches; over that and the screen is static. On-line recommendations say to keep the transducer away from the motor but on the starboard side of it a few feet from transom's center. Keep it away from strakes. Make sure it is parallel to bottom but the bottom of the transducer is just below the boat's bottom.

I sent a bunch of pictures so I'll see what recommendations they suggest.
