LEWISVILLE
Water stained; 85–89 degrees; 0.13’ low. Black bass are slow on squarebill crankbaits, Texas rigged creature baits and spinnerbaits

Worse fishing report I've ever seen no mention of Whites, Hybrids, Crappie or Cats.

I've been fishing Lewisville for 15yrs and never have seen the fishing so poor.

Wait until this Sunday. Big tournament out there with some of the best sticks around. Some big fish being caught lately.

Those reports are garbage. The only thing they are good for it water temp and lake level. The fishing is good from what I have heard. You just have to know where to go.

2 weeks ago, 20 lbs won a 3 fish tournament, 12.4lbs took 3rd
Tonight, Bazztex and I won with 18lbs
Some big bass are coming out right now and someone on Sunday will push 30lbs.
My wife and kids loaded up on sandbass on Wednesday night, so there is that too.

Don't put a lot of stock in the P&W Fishing reports. You don't know how old they are.

TPWD has a contract with a single individual to send them fishing reports on 80+ bodys of water across Texas. The person they contract with has a contact at each body of water they call to get information about fish being caught. Sometimes the contact is somebody who works at a marina store or a hostess at the dockside bar who has never picked up a fishing pole in her life. Needless to say, the TPWD fishing reports are worthless.

Last year they had a report with the exact bait, presentation, and color I was using. It quit working very shortly there after.

Sounds like down here by Galveston. Someone will call a bait camp and 80% of he staff do not know what's happening and lie to get business.

I've been pretty well during the evenings at Lewisville. A lipless crankbait around submerged trees has done the trick

There are several people involved. Each reporter covers a different region of the state and reports are compiled weekly with updated lake levels as well. In regards to that Lewisville report it seems some of the report including other species is missing and probably a technical error etc.

Temp and lake levels look accurate but that report looks/sounds like one of those generic and usually way outdated TPWD reports. If so they are far from reliable reports.
