Chick FIL A and Raising Cains—if you are a chicken place, you need to know how to make a good grilled chicken sandwich with decent seasoning and char on the outside—not some microwaved rubber hockey puck

Big Green Egg—I refuse to be nickled and dimed for items that should be part of the cooker
I’d rather have a Weber Summit or a Kamado Joe

Googan Baits—Too expensive vs other brands.

Nike shoes—too narrow, and then there’s that swoosh

Premium grade gasoline—makes no difference

Rolex watches - Nice watch, but seriously, $400-$600 every 5 years to clean and adjust?
YETI coolers - Nice cooler, but many knock-offs just as good, plus heavier than a small VW. Never leave one un-attended, it will disappear!

About 8-10years ago I drove to Kentucky and bought a Bullet 21XD. Red ranger was my copilot. Fun roadtrip. Got it home and first time I took it out i stopped by a Pilot station to put gas in it. Get to boat ramp and go to take off...made it about 50yds and every alarm on the motor went off. Ended up all of the fuel i bought had water in it. Luckily it was fine after the shop cleaned out the fuel system. Pilot denied they had any issues when I stopped in to tell them. They had some guy from corporate call me that was rude and condescending.
I would rather run out of gas and walk before I spend another dollar there. I've driven by a couple of times when my truck was on empty and went elsewhere.

Harman Kardon/JBL—the only piece of electronics I’ve ever had fail in 6 months was a Harman Kardon 5 disc player
Just randomly stopped working

This happened 25 years ago (wanted to upgrade to a 5 disc player from single disc)
I still have the same Onkyo receiver, single disc player, turntable, and tape player I bought in high school 30 years ago. They all still work just fine.

Fun Fact / Music Trivia: That song was written by Randy Newman (the “Short People” song guy).

The YMCA, old people, some obviously go to Pilot also, wander around the locker rooms butt naked for uncomfortable amounts of time. Take your shower, dry off, put your clothes on in a timely manner and when you sit on the benches put a towel either on or down, nobody wants to sit down after old man arse. They act like it's a Roman bath house. My wife says the old women in the women's locker room are just as bad.

Taco Bell. For reasons of suck.

I’m about to put Wells Fargo on that list for incompetence and idiocy.

I’m not going to call out specific places, but WAWI did make a good point about avoiding old, nude people. Life is better that way.

A few years back I transferred to a new assignment. I needed a .308 patrol rifle. I was getting a nice tax refund, and contacted GA Precision about a GAP-10. I was told 10 months wait. So I contacted LaRue and was told 12 months. LMT said 8 - 10 months. So I snagged a DPMS G2. Now, I've never been impressed with DPMS' 5.56 / .223 rifles, but I've never seen a DPMS .308 / 7.62 NATO that didn't shoot like gangbusters. I have several friends who own 'em and love 'em.

The rifle I purchased came with one magazine. Magpul said on their website that their magazines work with the DPMS G2 .308, and I bought two of their twenty rounders with the rifle. The magazine that came with the rifle worked flawlessly; the Magpuls would double feed every second or third round with milspec ammo. I could not get through a qualification with the Magpuls. I played with them and inquired of numerous shooters. I finally called Magpul's tech support. I was not accusatory or condescending. I explained the problem and asked for help.

The nice man at Magpul Tech Support explained that the bolt carrier on my rifle was improperly cut and was dragging on the magazines' feed lips. I advised him that the feed lips on the defective magazines were pristine (after several hundred rounds); nothing was dragging on them. He then told me that the spring rates in my rifle were all wrong. I asked why the magazine that came with the rifle worked flawlessly, in spite of the improper spring rates. He told me that I had bought a "cheap piece of [censored]" and that nothing was going to work in it. I then thanked him for his time and crossed Magpul off of my list, and hung up. I then ordered three new Lancers. Naturally, the Lancers are 100% reliable. It's embarrassing for the agency's head firearms instructor to have to pull his rifle off the line due to constant double feeds every time he tries to qualify with it..............

As an interesting followup, the Chief purchased a bunch of Magpul 30 round magazines for the city's 5.56 / .223 ARs. They proved to be extremely unreliable, with numerous rifles constantly double-feeding during the quals.

I'll never spend a penny on a Magpul product again.

In retrospect, I should add that when I first told the nice man at Magpul that both magazines were double feeding, he told me that it is impossible for a Magpul magazine to double feed, and that I don't know what a double feed is.

My first car had brake problems and I took it to KMart to have them fixed.
After a few trips back because they never fixed the problem I was working on car and saw something funny about brake line.
It had been brazed close.
KMart indicated they had bled brakes a couple of times but I cut the plug out and there is no way any brake fluid was getting through, it was a solid plug.
Even taking the plug back, they claimed no negligence.
I have never been back to KMart since.

Dairy Queen - Worked in one during college some 40+ years ago. Saw what went on behind the scenes. Haven't been to one since.

Firestone, Christian brothers, all car dealerships. Quit taking my car to firestone after they told me they couldn’t do an alignment on my truck because it needed ball joints ($600 fix at firestone), took it down to brakes plus and the guy said it was fine and didn’t need them.

I hate any brand that gets spammed to death on the internet by its customers.

Slick Trick broadheads were #1 at this 10 years ago, they would give free product to people who posted a lot in return for spamming any thread possible with how great the broadheads were. I fought against those guys for years over that [censored] and people began to see the light. Now "Sons of Guns" or something like that has the same thing going on all the websites and facebook, they might make a good product but ill never anything of theirs.

Not that I eat alot of candy bars but Butterfinger was one of my favs. I tried the new and improved one, it really suks the big one. Guess I will never have another good Butterfinger in my life unless they change it back like they did Coke.

I haven't tried it yet, but I did see that "Improved Recipe" on the shelf. Immediately reminded me of New Coke.

You’re absolutely correct. I bought one of their game cams last year. After being up for 1 week, there was condensate behind the display and it didn’t take and pictures what so ever. I knew better than to buy because I’ve always been partial to Stealth Cam. I will never buy a Wild Game Innovations product ever again.

Hey Tpack - Okay if I borrow this photo of your ash? It'd make the perfect cell phone icon for my (expletives withheld) SiL.

Mrs Bairds bread. It used to be locally owned, and the employees really cared about quality. Now, it’s Mexican owned, 7 days old when it hits the shelves, tastes like [censored], and the employees couldn’t give a [censored].

CDRJ vehicles. Complete junk.

Bass Pro branded “anything”, but rain gear. Their plastics are hard and deformed. Always. Their rods and reels are junk.

Almost every fast food place and many chain restaurants. The food is just bad, and the wait staff nowadays are horrible.

Chinese knock off stuff. Yeh....got took a few times. Lol.

that's a political reason.

Technically, having a big arse is not really a political deal. Mostly genetics is my guess.

Gillette. Nothing political. Ran out of razor blades one day in 2013, think I was using Fusion back then. Cost $20 to buy four more. Decided to start shaving like my father did. Bought a Rockwell safety razor, a cake of Colonel Conk shaving soap, a Parker badger hair shaving brush and 100 Persona Blue Razor blades.

A blade lasts me a week, so I buy 100 blades every other year for $25. A cake of shaving soap lasts about three months for $3. So it costs me about $24.50 per year to shave, and a double edged safety razor gives a better shave than any cartridge shaver ever dreamed of.
