What’s the best priced well equipped aluminum bass boat? I really like the Ranger rt178. With 60hp, upgrades tm and electronics i think It would be about $27k. That’s with ulterra and hds 7/9 bow/console. Anything similarly equipped for less?

I fish out of a Crestliner PT20. Cant complain. As far as deck space, storage, and live well size I think it's the best aluminum boat for the price.

What ever Boat you get max out the HP. and Ranger is nice but the Triton's are built at the same place by the same people and cost $2000 to $3000 less. only difference is console and stickers, and I've been happy with my Tracker PT190 that is in the price range of what your wanting to spend.

I had a used 2000 Xpress 17ft with a 90 Yamaha power pole and great electronics. I built this boat to fish locally. I am an old guy and loved this set up. It was a 'flat' bottom, Rough on windy days and was limited by the small 10 gallon gas tank. I sold this boat to a guy who wanted to fish with his young son. I searched for nearly two years for a Ranger RT 188 (used) finally found one in Tennessee. It has a 115 mercury and so much more storage and walk around room. Very good in rough water, huge 21 gallon fuel tank, and best of all easy to pull. I have upgraded the electronics, trolling motor and added a jack plate. I have set this boat up for me to fish bigger water and rough water. As stated I am an old guy ( 72) still love to fish; this newer an bigger boat makes me fee much safer. Much easier to move around in the boat also. My advise on Aluminum boat ' buy what you can afford but try to go bigger' ! This is the last boat I will ever own so I have to make sure it will be safe for me in my OLDER years. wild bill

aluminum bass boats are aluminum bass boats they are less expensive easier to pull down the road but when you get on the water they dont ride as good as a glass boat of the same size an react different to the trolling motor they have there place in the market.

We recently bought a Tracker 175TXW Tournament Edition, with a 75 Mercury. I like it a lot. Rides great. It came with a bigger trolling motor and a second battery than the standard model comes with. The wife wasn’t that happy with our previous aluminum boat, since it only had one cup holder (seriously), so I was forced to buy a new boat.
Real stingy on gas consumption, and I worked that trolling motor hard for the last 3 days and never ran short of battery power.
If there’s a negative, it’s that it does get blown around in strong winds.

We bought our Ranger RT188, w/ Yamaha 115 VMAX SHO, that was just over a year and a half old for just slightly more than what a brand new Tracker TXW175 with a 75 hp Mercury on it.
