Massive flood last year took out most of it and brought in a tremendous amount of sand and silt resulting in new shallow areas and sandbars. Also washed out the bridge going over the north end. Grass may never recover

I would say the flood had little do do with the disappearance of the grass. LCRA has been using a new chemical that is /was delivered to the root system via a tube that seems to have wiped out the grass. I talked to them when they were out doing applications. The told me it would not affect the coontail but it seems to be gone as well.

There was a ton of grass this spring post flood, think the chemicals not the flood!
