Fished the Port Aransas south jetty on Wednesday 14th & Thursday 15th
Wed 14th: Targeted reds. Zero strikes for both Pretty Woman & TOO. After fishing hard for reds the last 3 months, conclusion is that post Harvey has changed the underwater structure some. Areas that held reds for 30 years are not quite the same. We're going to try a couple more things along the jetty for reds but the dynamics has changed in our "redfish alley" area.
Watch a Haynie CC hold a spot a cast & a half from us and catch an oversized red and what looked to be a solid shark, not sure on that one, on cut mullet. Just had to ask him what & how, normally don't do that. Laughs from both sides yelling out into the channel.
Thurs 15th: Fished another location of south jetty for eating fish.No Mangroves due to more aggressive fish. Ended up with 9 total, all average except this one caught by Pretty Woman. Easy 24"-25" & 4 lbs. Out fished TOO again. B est trout of the year and allows us to put a pretty good mark on where to fish for trout, mangos, & other eaters post Harvey
