Any news of this killer in area lakes. We live on Cedar Creek w grandchildren and dogs visiting. Not heard of this so strongly until this summer, although I understand it has existed many years. It seems it’s in greater concentration in smaller, enclosed water bodies. Lady Bird Lake is one. But, Guadalupe River is another...but don’t know how much flow is in action at this time. Anyone help me out on this?
Many thanks.

I had not heard of it until this summer. Evidently dogs can't handle it at all.

Yes. We’ve a big Airedale male who loves to retrieve. We stop w all waterplay not knowing what the chemistry is on CCL. It’s gonna take a hurricane or tropical storm to blow out this hi pressure system and deliver big rain. My research says large inrush of fresh water and oxygen and lower water temps. You all be safe out there.

It was bad enough to kill a dog on Texoma? That would be unusual on a large body of oxygenated water I'm thinking.

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish, he will sit in a boat all day and drink beer.
