Bout getting tired of being over heated while having to wear the 100mph suit during rainy summer days. I’m also not a fan of BPS so won’t buy any of their gear so I was wondering what y’all wear during the summer when it’s raining. I’m in Florida now so “cold gear” is useless. Still want something that is good in the fall time weather but doesn’t over heat you in the summer. Has to keep me dry though.

I have some light weight Marmot rain gear. It’s good rain gear when it’s to warm for the 100 mph

Columbia Omni-Tech. Jacket about $60, pants $50 at BPS. Academy might also have them. Get them large enough to layer underneath, should keep you warm well into fall.

The Frogg Toggs ultra light Rain Suits, runs $29.99 for tops and bottoms direct from Frogg Toggs.

I use them motorcycling as well in the 90 degree heat and humidity

What exactly is this "summer rain" you speak of?

Gill makes the best rain gear I've ever worn. I wear the same in summer as winter. In winter I just layer up. In summer I wear jacket only. It's super light weight and I'm fine keeping rain off upper body. I fish in shorts that dry quickly. Wearing just the jacket, I don't get overheated. I just ordered Gill's new shorts as well. I saw them at ICAST and they look really good.

Light goretex jacket from Simms. Got it on a close out for $70. I’ve had it for about 8 years or so.
