Grandson wants to catch something whites,striper,?.Any help appreciated.I have a cast net,side image.Staying near Loafers Bend.

I’m not on Lake Whitney but I’m sure the pattern is very similar because it’s the August pattern watch for schooling very early and after that really fish Tight to structure ledges ditches flats drop offs

Try the state park area from the mouth of Frazier Creek all the way down to Whitney point and look from 20-35 fow

if the striper dont play nice for you, just drop small pieces of cut shad on just about any point or hump in 25 to 35 ft. the main lake is absolutely full of 13 to 16" blue cats. you should catch plenty
