I booked a cabin for labor day weekend. So are there any hazards on that lake, trees / islands / ect? Should i get a map card? I have never fished up that way and have no idea what to expect. Any help with this or baits would mean a lot
Thanks Guys

Yes to the hazards. You can literally go from 150+ to 2ft in a 10ft span. Pay attention to buoys and your maps.

The maps are pretty accurate. Iā€™d be more worried about people trying for the seasons last hurrah. Jet fleas and toons will be thick.

Yes sir. Grew up on that lake. The main lake is deep and open. Once you head into the coves and fingers you better know where to run. Can go from open 70 ft to 10 ft forest in a matter of 50 yards. Be prepared for super clear water. Most times you can see fish swimming below you in 15ā€™ water. Tons of rock points and structure. Might be worth your time to go with a guide for 1/2 day to get you started. Have fun
