Simple pattern made with two white Marabou Plumes, Red Dumbbell Eyes, Pearl Chenille, Red Dacron Tying Thread, and a 1/0 Hook.

Tied this one from memory of a fishing fly that was doing well on Striped Bass at Denison Dam. Calling it the Denison Dam Dawber or Triple D.

Going to try it out next trip to the tailrace to Texoma - Denison Dam!

Simple Fly Tying - The Denison Dam Dawber

Gotta chance to fish the Denison Dam Dawber (DDD) early AM Sunday. Was non-Stop action. Lost count of how many were caught and released. Estimated over fifty striped bass after we quit counting! Caught them between 6AM to 10AM till alarm sounded warning us power plant would be generating soon. Lost the smaller DDD to a fish that broke us off, else it was short strikes on the larger DDD. Going to have to tie more smaller size DDDs!

There are many beautiful flies made by its fan,so I think do not need a vise.
