I used to have a center console and, as others have said, it is an excellent platform for fishing. Not so good for water skiing, which created conflict with the wife and daughter. I do quite a bit of trolling now, with some success catching largemouth and white bass, using my kayak - cruising speed is 2 MPH, perfect for trolling!

Keep your kicker motor. You can use it for trolling for white bass and striped bass.

There are so many people in the DFW area, you wouldn't have a problem selling it there if you decided it didn't fit what you wanted it for.
