Yeah I'm a little disappointed. If the landowner is "wrong" then f them the stuff should be GONE by now...

Man there better be a slew of huge fish under that dock to warrant all of this drama! Just guessing but I bet there are other docks that hold fish on the lake... Definitely bored at work...
See you on the lake and have a great day!

The real point here isn’t one dock. It is the fact if one owner is allowed to block it off all of them can. What would that bank look like if 20 owners put up swim areas blocking access between docks?

With that way of thinking I suppose you subscribe to the, “It’s OK if we allow uncle Sam to confiscate AR rifles. They would never try to take away anything else or repeal the 2nd amendment” line of thought?

I get that, I live right on Ray Roberts, it is my back yard. I am an avid lifetime fisherman and since last fall fortunate enough to be a lakeside property owner. I get both viewpoints completely. I think it is humorous actually that a bunch of grown people feel like their civil rights are being violated in the worst way because some property owners don't want you fishing their dock. I also understand the property owners view point of "we worked very hard to be able to afford a lake house with a dock and we really don't want hooks in our dock or broken off under water where we or our family could get injured". I also get the slippery "well if they can block off a swim area so can I" slope where we fisherman start to lose prime places to fish all over the lakes. I get it, but to me it is really not worth fighting over. Plenty of good water and plenty of good fisherman friendly docks to fish. Good Grief this is how we get silly laws like can't fish within X number of feet from a boat dock if we are not careful. Who has more money for lawyers, people who own million dollar lake homes or fisherman?? The ones with the most money usually win where the law is concerned. Answer to all of this is human decency on both sides, be nice it is easy. BTW if you want to fish behind my house go for it!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

I think I am going to go out to Lake Tyler Marina, place cones around one of the parking spaces closest to the ramp, and put a sign that says "Razorback's parking place" on it. I wonder how long it will take the authorities to end my blocking of public space. I'm guessing we're talking minutes, not weeks.

I look at living lakeside as living in a golf course. You are going to have people close to and around your property all the time. And just like having a gold ball land in your yard you are goi g to have hooks stuck to your dock. But we choose to live in that spot so we must live with golfers or fishermen being close by. If one wants to live where no person can get close they should buy acreage and hide out in the center with a high fence around it. That all said I will say something to a person that is damaging my property. I don’t consider a hung lure damage.
