I know I have seen it somewhere on the forum but I can't remember the exact details. What color of sun glass lens is best to reduce the glare of the hot summer sun on the water?
Besides significantly reducing the bright glare of the sun, being able to see down into the water somewhat for stumps, weeds, etc. is what I need - but I don't sight fish. The glare gives me headaches and hampers overall fishing. Is it green, copper, blue, yellow? I fish in north east TX on both lakes and ponds.
Don't need suggestions for brand names of sun glasses, just the color of the lens.
Thanks!!

Blue mirror for bright skies in my opinion. Copper or gray lens.... Copper/Amber lens probably better to "see" things in the water. I have some kaenons with green mirror brown lenses for all around use. Most offshore guys use blue mirror

I bought green and blue based on people posting on here and found no condition where the blue was better.

For the last 20+ years I've only worn Oakley Gold Iridium Amber polarized lenses. no complaints from me and I usually spot sight fish before anybody else on my boat.

i have blue mirror prizm oaley. like them alot. but sight fishing i like the green mirror. one thing to think about is frame color. i have one pair of white and i have found in bright sun there is more glare from it. harder to see well. think about ball players with black under there eyes . it helps with glare.

I've used Costa glass green mirror for years and love them. I have tried a friend's Solarbat mossback green and they worked well too.
