Fished Fayette today with friend Lloyd from Daybreak til 1:00pm. Had planned on leaving at noon, but the fish wouldn't stop biting so we stayed an extra hour. Water temp was 92-94 degrees & up a little. We caught well over 100 fish with some nice ones mixed in. I used the Gulp Alive 1" minnow pretty much all day & Lloyd used the BOC. I never thought I'd say this, but the little minnows out fished the BOC probably 2-1. Wind was light til around 10:30 then started to blow pretty hard. Fished the dam area 1st, followed by some deep trees, then hit the reed beds. The only spot that didn't produce was the tank dam that has done so good the past month. [Linked Image]

Fred...You know what I think, but you know Decker way better than me. Side note...Did not catch a single fish in "The Bay of Pigs" or the tank dam with the grass we fished. Those were the only 2 spots that we were skunked. Reed beds were HOT today.., as well as the rocks at the dam...

Side Note: Steve. I know what you mean about the Gulp Minnows out fishing the worms. Fred was doing the same thing to me last month on Decker! hooked

Nice fish, I'm going to have to try a jar of the Gulp Alive minnows. Fishing has been slow for me lately with small cranks and spinners.

Chuck..You need to give these Gulp guys a try...I believe you get fewer small fish with them, plus less mess.
Laker...You have been saying "soon" for some time now...it's time to get your "catch" on !
John...I tried 2 colors this week...Emerald Shiner & Chartreuse Shad...they both worked equally well.
Gitter...Thanks for the reply...2 more good months left b4 it starts slowing down...
