I bought one for 35$ at a pawn shop...it is a very smooth reel... Does anyone know how old they are?...also it says made in Japan...is this significant or higher quality than non Japanese made ones.....they still seem to be bringing a pretty high price on line.[Linked Image]

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Late 80’s possibly...the ones made in Japan are nice reels...seem to better than ones made in Malaysia

Good deal for what you paid, those reels were some of the toughest ever made.

actually they were made into the 90’s. I had a direct contact in Japan that I probably bought 50 or 60 Chronarchs and that many Curados too. They have very good drags and they will cast as far as anything made even today
Oh yeah I have some parts also if you need something
