It's a good lake. Occasional issue with truck break ins but kinda rare. No worse than other urban lakes in that regard. It's got some big fish in it.

Use the casino beach ramp. Less rift rap plus it’s next door to Marshall’s office

The river has been off, you will catch some fish flipping docks. Also, flipping the reads under the 820 ramp will give you a good chance at Wednesday night tournament retreads.

“Knock on wood” haven’t had a break in at 820 in many years, the Marshall’s patrol it much better now than they did back in the day. I launch there 3 times a week. It’s a super fickle lake, what works today likely won’t get it done tomorrow. I went from 26 lbs last Sunday to a zero on Wednesday night. The fish are there, still takes 16-20 lbs to win any full day event out there. People keep saying the river is off, darn near every tournament has been won up there for the last 3+ months.

Tell that to the dude I saw last week in the orange/black Skeeter. Didn’t catch his name. I sat up there 5 hours and threw everything but the kitchen sink at themes here he comes flipping the same reeds around that no wake zone and he sticks 5-6 fish right behind me. Wish I knew What he was pitching. Looked like a magician I’ve never seen someone flip so fast and never let off the troller Curious as to how far you can go up there? I hit enough stumps I dont Want to find out

You can go nearly all the way to Eagle Mountain lake... takes forever at idle speed, probably about 45 minutes past the no wake to get to where most bass boats cant pass due to the laydowns. The area near the no wake zone isnt even scratching the surface of whats up there, I wouldn't even call that the river. After you pass the 3 birdhouse stands past the no wake zone idle right next to the reeds on your left all the way. Only a couple of stumps along that line and enough water to fish for days and days without seeing it all.

Buda13 how many boys are you expecting at your championship on lake Worth? We have a tournament that same day going out of the same ramp y’all are.

Planned on fishing the championship and the fishing Texas event if I'm able to since they overlap. I think last year there were 15 or so at the championship. Buda can confirm.

We had a low draw last year due to a date conflict with TTO Championship, we avoided all of that this year. I'd ballpark it somewhere between 20 and 30 boats. I'm good with anyone fishing our championship to fish the other event as well, but you will have to weigh your fish on my scale for it to count in our tournament. Not sure who the other TD is but if he is good with that too have him PM me and we can iron out the details. What other tournament is it?

Fishing Texas. It’s a group on Facebook that puts on monthly tournaments. We have been fishing 6-130. Not sure if it will change for the September tournament. I think we had 17 boats at our last tournament.
