I’m sure it was as most described..... Napoleon trying to prove his hammer-a-billities. Haha. But, I do think it’s first come first serve...even if it’s a wrapped boat wanting to move in.

I have fished with some of these wrapped boat guys. Let me tell you. The REAL pros wouldn’t even try to move in on a local. They would tell me “man Steez, I’d really like to hit that spot, as I caught a few there yesterday, but we’ll have to come try it later. A local is there now.” They really fish the lake, and it’s traffic. It’s all part of the game. If a Professional angler really tries to move in, and run off a local, that angler must not have much going good for that lake, or his year for that matter. Desperation move, IMO.

I’d still not wanna be the guy that’s hammering a hole that a pro wants to fish. If anything, I’d back off and watch...probably learn a new thing to try there as a result.

Imagine getting up really early to beat the crowds, getting to the ramp and you have the first row parking for your trailer. Someone drives up later after the lot was full and says I parked there yesterday would you mind moving along and let me have that spot today?

I must not be as big a fan of the pro bass fishermen as most of you. I would not move for a pro bass fisherman. I don’t care if that’s how they make a living. Not my problem. I’m fishing right here and I’m staying here.

Pretty rude of a guy to try to move in on my spot and say he’s a pro and needs to fish here. It even sounds ridiculous when I type it.

I think you are reaching here a bit as its 2 totally different things. I think paying it forward and being courteous ain't a bad thing. Be nice if everyone thought that way.

Pretty often it's someone who watched the pro the day before. Especially if they do have a tournament. It's free info unfortunately. When kvd won on Toledo, guys would pull up and start fishing with him on the spot too.

I drive a fire truck and the common dumba** driver won't yield to us so we can help people when seconds count in life or death situations. 18 wheelers are some of the worst, they will not move to the right, they have "big boy" syndrome, I guess.

The Scott Martin comment today was fairly typical. He was up by the dam and looking for the other FLW pro that was fishing the area. He looks over so far away he can't really see the boat very well and complains and shakes his head about a local fishing. Its an area that gets fished everyday Scott. You don't own the lake. The "hey we are coming to the lake, everyone please leave" attitude is what pisses a lot of people off.

I would personally stay away but many don't follow or care about tournament fishing. People on the lake area all part of it. They just need to adjust to that.

I like this answer, it applies to both fisherman.

That's truly unfortunate Douglas J. I have a lot of family in medicine and a brother in law that's a firefighter and they say the same thing...

It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...

Same here. It happens every shift even if we are running lights and sirens.

I think it's amusing that the people trying to make an argument in the name of civility and kindness are the same ones repeatedly labeling people as pricks, dicks, and syndromic. They're the same ones that won't grasp the irony there.

In your opinion maybe not in mine. One person wants something that someone else has and doesn’t mind asking for it. He got to fish the area he just didn’t get to cherry pick his spot to set the boat. The only difference is it was a tournament fisherman and those of us who don’t care for or follow tournaments don’t follow or idolize them. They are just another boat on the water.
