I hear there is a guy on here that will sell you a map chip of the best spots on the lake. That lake kicks my rear.

I primarily fish for Striper’s on Buch. But banging the banks will always produce . Spinnerbaits seem to be a lost technique but it seems to work well

Buchanan has a lot of open water. It was not fishing well earlier this year, at least for me, and the few people I talked to seemed to agree. I have not been there in almost three months now. As hot as it has been down here for the last few weeks your best bet may be to make the run up the Colorado River until you find some current?
Minner Bucket is referencing a gentleman by the name of Donald Harper. He sells mapping chips for several lakes in Texas. Shallow water to Donald is the 20' contour. He has some interesting concepts that he has shared on the forum. Some people, including me, have benefited from his advice. Others seem to find him very aggravating for some reason, perhaps because he has found a way to monetize his hobby?

I haven't fished it lately, but generally speaking there's usually a good topwater bite early. Buzzbait, spook and yellow magic will all work. And watch out for that random striper. Good way to lose a rod.

Been fishing a little tougher lately! Whites and strippers are still fishing pretty good right now.
