COOPER DISCOVERER AT3 XLT LT285 /75 R18 129S E1 BSW 60,000 mile warranty $296.00
^ discount tire, not where I bought them tho.
had nitto and went to cooper due to cost and longevity, so far the coopers are out wearing the nitto big time. rotate every 5k with oil change. these are a 34.5" and quiet on the highway. got this set for 1100 installed. forgot to add that these also have a 60,000 mile warranty. not bad for a truck tire.

Well the 1st set of tires I had on my Tundra went 80,000 miles before needing to be replaced. Never got over 40,000 on a new truck before.
I replaced them with the same tire from Discount Tire and they were $1,200.
I guess that tires are better quality today than they were in the past.
I have 65k on my Tundra and it’s time for it’s 3rd set of tires! The OEM tires last about 30k with constant rotation and air checks. I do pull a boat about 80-90% of those miles, so that could be extra wear. I think this 3rd set will be leaning more towards an all season tire vs. an all terrain. Ouch!!! Were they BFG's? (I just bought a Tundra and believe that is what it has on it - guess I need to keep an eye on them) The original tires were BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport L/T. Rotated tires at 5,000 to 6,000 miles. Strictly highway miles.

I run Toyo Open Country AT F load(12 ply). They’re also 35’s Those are good, I run them and the M/T's also. The extra two ply's are costly, but necessary with large loads.

Just put new Coopers on my ‘99 F-150 Monday. I believe I put 45k miles on the last set.

[/quote] Tire life really improved with the introduction of radial tires. I bought a set of radial Coopers back in the early '70's, and got 60K out of them. Before that, you'd do good to get 20K out of a tire.

I will probably get close to that on my Bfgs. Did you own a Ford? My last Ford was a tire eater. Partly the driver.

All my driving is done on the road. The Michelin's that came on my Truck lasted about 55K but were extremely quite, no road noise. Bought a set of Bridgestone 80K mile rated tires and replaced them at 60K miles. Not because of wear but because of road noise and ride. Hardest, noisiest set of tires I have ever had on a truck and they did not have an aggressive tread design. Drove me nuts. Replaced with a set of Michelin's that I purchased through my Ford dealer. Believe it or not they had the best price on the tires and also the cheapest road hazard guaranty to purchase.

Replaced 2 sets , 1 on Wifes Suv and a set on my F250 FX4 Ford back in early summer. That wasn't the killer, last month bought 8 for my camper 12R 22.5 Firestones--- $4850.00.
