I dip the tails in Chartreuse Spike it all the time.

Will do it right before I start fishing and it lasts all day long.

No need for Crappie Nibbles or Minnows.

I don't. Don't think it will make much of a difference and don't want it all over my hands when putting baits on/off.

I use Crappie slime from the fish on my jig before i throw it in the cooler .I don't know if it makes that much difference but it give me confidence ?

I don't soak it, but I do use some after I have it tyed on.... sometimes.
