I like Ike and Congrats, I read his book, grew up poor, and made it all on his own. so he act's a fool and has a good time doing what he love's. I remember back in the day when everyone was upset that bill dance was kissing fish before turning them loose. LOL but it guy's like this that stay around and end up making it Big.

That book is an interesting read. It gave me an idea what Ike and all the pros give up to do what they do. I can relate being gone over 3/4 of the year working in the oilfield, but I am GUARANTEED to make a good check. Not sure I could commit to that not knowing if I would win and have a paycheck or not....
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...

Not sure I could commit to that not knowing if I would win and have a paycheck or not.... Ike is guaranteed to make a good check too long before he makes a cast. The tournament winnings are just an add on.

I don't care what sport you're in, surely you can figure out a way to market yourself a better way than throwing a tantrum when things don't go your way. And honestly, you're right. It was better back then. Respect, decency, honesty. Not everyone. There's always some jacka$$es in every group. But by and large it was better for attitude. Sorry, maybe those are attributes that don't appease you.

I'd definitely drink a couple beers with him. Wouldn't be in a boat with him while fishing a tournament though.
