I’m told they are the shoe of choice for most olds. Anyone went in and let them recommend shoes based on your foot profile? What are your thoughts?
Im betting I walk 20-22k steps a day....need some good shoes

I worked at Academy in high school and college. Spent some time in their footwear department. I’d send people to the new balance store from time to time. You won’t be disappointed.

Yes.
I wear them. My feet are shaped like cinder blocks. 10 1/2 4E. They’re the only ones I have found which have shoes for cinder blocks. But, I buy my new balance for olds from Joes new balance online. Cheaper than the stores.

They are ok especially if you have wide feet
I like Run on better but of course they are running shoes mostly.

Get a 600 series or higher. I've been wearing New Balance for over 25 years.

New Balance is the signature shoe of old cranky white men everywhere. I’ll bet Bob Davis owns an entire closet full of those hideous, white New Balance sneakers.

Can’t go wrong with a new balance or run on store. I’ve logged a lot of miles on Newton’s, saucony, and new balance shoes. I really like the neutral sole of the new balance shoe, you won’t be disappointed.

I started wearing Hoka when I started doing a lot of walking. I've been extremely happy with them and for me they are worth the higher price.
This thread needs more cowbell ...

If you walk so much, get a shoe that best fits your foot. I have narrow feet with low arches and the best shoe I have found for me is Asics (one of their least expensive models) with the addition of inserts to support my arches.

This week I just bought my first pair of shoes that wasn't New Balance in probably 20 years. My last few pair just didn't fit like they used to. After 2 returns, and several discussion with NB employees, some of their over seas manufactures have changed. Their consistency/quality has gone down hill for me. After taxes, $150 for a pair of shoes that don't fit just right is not for me.
My current shoes, Skechers ($65 out the door) seem to be good so far.

Cheaper than the stores. That'a pretty much my same foot size. Been wearing New Balance for 15 years. The store in Southlake by 24 Hour Fitness is great.

Looks good. I have several pairs of new balance. These price in line with my NB 990V4. Probably give these a shot next go round. I started wearing Hoka when I started doing a lot of walking. I've been extremely happy with them and for me they are worth the higher price.
