I have a Lowerance gen 1, 7 inch graph. My question is if I upgrade to a current model by Lowerance which I’m not sure yet what I’m getting. Will I be able to down load my trails, waypoints, etc and load them into a new unit?

YES you can to a SD card. Make sure you have a SD card that is 16GB or smaller.

Won’t the new graphs go into legacy mode if hooked to the old graph? Not sure legacy is bad, unless you are buying new for the technology, then legacy could be bad.
