This is where I kayak. There is a ramp down the dirt road I marked (its the high-water ramp) and the drag spot is about 75 yards over grass. This access point is free. Tell the guy in the guard shack at the entrance you are kayaking. If you enter at the official twin coves park spot you pay a fee. Check with the city of flower mound website to see the cost. What day are you heading there?

Texas-rig, thanks for the info, after the heat this week it may be a while, I may drive out there & find it the next trip to BPS.i may need a ramp as I fish out of a Native Titan, its a tank & I am not sure dragging it 75 yards is a good thing for me. Do u have the time to fish during the week? I am retired so when I come it would be during the week. Thanks again for your kind reply. Billy

I kayak out of both Twin Coves and Murrell. Murrell is free; I think their main ramp is still closed but the high water ramp is open. To get to this ramp after entering park at gate take first right, drive about 100 yards then turn left on gravel road that forks - take right fork to ramp. Be sure not to park in a trailer spot.

I think day use fee at Twin Coves is $5, but not sure as I have annual pass. Maybe more for non-FloMo folks. Fishing was a little slow for me this morning - 2 bass landed, 2 bass shook off.

Oh, and at Twin Coves there is a dedicated kayak launch spot but I use the boat ramp - never crowded when I put in or take out.

Twin Coves is $10 for a day pass. It's a nice park with paved parking and a pavilion near the kayak dock.

Wow. Day use was just $5 two years ago. Inflation in FloMo reaching Venezuelan levels!

I also fish mid-week (retired) so if you want to meet at a launch point send a PM. Will likely take several weeks off though until temps drop back a tad.
