Mary Patrick, president of the Galveston chapter of the NAACP, told the newspaper that the department had an obligation to explain the officers' actions to the public. Patrick later said she had spoken with Hale and the police chief had the NAACP's support.
Well, doesn't sound like there's gonna be much protesting. Little deal or maybe no deal. Hmmm...but somebody here already has the haters on record. Tweren't me. I'm puzzled why officer's on horseback were even involved in the arrest. Where were the patrol cars ? Also thinking the jail was right around the corner. No biggie as far as I'm concerned especially with all the other news happnin in this country. F4B posted this above. That’s what I was referencing. Just getting the haters on record. And you did not disappoint.

It was unintentional. Are the cops supposed to recall all historical and possible appearances and change their trained and human characteristics so as to not possibly offend someone. Screw that. Screw them. They were doing their job and someone with a camera decided to make something out of nothing. A whip would have been more appropriate according to the peanut gallery. Innocent until proven guilty. Sick stuff. Fire their dumb arses. They have to be stump dumb to do that riding publicly funded equine. Folks you have to understand F4B is a democrat squad member. Enough said!!!

I guess I look at it in the sense if there was another way to transport him then maybe that would have been better. While they may be right sometimes you gotta look at the fallout and if its worth the aggravation. With so many hating LEOs these days I would think most would not want to draw any unwanted attention to themselves. This is my stance as well. I will say though few on here applauded the hero cops in ElPaso or Dayton but damn if every anti police story isn’t immediately posted and picked apart.
