Fished 4 hours yesterday afternoon and boated (all released) 43 nice crappie plus several bass. Light wind after the rain stopped. Fish hit everywhere we fished.

Went out this morning at 9:30 after the rain stopped and could only catch 12. No wind at all. Guess it was just too calm.

Yeah, I know I said I was quitting until it got cooler, well it was cooler yesterday and today. Couldn't resist.

Wife and I just now ate up the last of our crappie filets, and I need to resupply. It would be nice to catch 43 and keep the best. I don’t often have days that good, unfortunately. Practice, practice, practice...

I moved my console unit up front. Wouldn't even go without livescope now.

I do not have a Garmin unit - and I still caught over 25 nice crappie yesterday morning on Lewisville in about 2 hours.

Largest one was about 15"; most were 13". Only kept/cleaned ten; did not keep anything smaller than 12"; . Got to lake at about 8:30AM, and back in slip at 11:00 AM; got hot at 10:30. All caught on Crazy Angler 2" Shad, and Sour Grape - some with "shad sauce" both on brush and timber. Biggest fish were at 10' (top of piles) in 14-21 ft of water. Some hit hard, and some just lifted it up a bit; bite was all over the place. Will go again today!
