How the heck do I turn off the back up camera? Reason I ask is I can't see behind the truck in the dark. Too much light from the screen in the cab of the truck.

We have two guys at work with the same thing. There is NO WAY to turn it off or dim it. They throw a t shirt or towel over it when its dark outside.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I have to get a piece of cardboard and velcro strips. Once installed I will drive it to the nearest Chevy dealer and ask. WHAT THE HECK WAS GM THINKING!! Better yet take pictures and send to GM corporate.

There is, or used to be, a dimmer control for the dash/control panel lights on the left hand side of the steering wheel near the headlight controls, have you tried that?

If you have a valet mode I'd try that.

Tundras have brightness settings for the display. Not sure about Chevy's.

On my buddy’s 2018 that backup camera sucks when backing up when it is dark. It will blind you. They sure did not think that through
