Curious if any other TFFers have noticed the boat rental guy that has taken over Tower Bay.

Look up Stacy Anaya in the City of Lewisville Parks & Recreation directory and email her your concerns of a commercial business using , obstructing, and general clustering the facility. There will be nothing done until she receives enough complaints. I agree it's a major CF.

I actually made two calls to the Lewisville Parks and Rec. The first guy I talked to (Parks Manager) said it was ok with the city and no big deal that the guy was winning his business out of Tower Bay and monopolizing the park.

I made a second call to the Parks and Recs director. While I didn't talk to her directly I was told they knew of the issue and are working with the Park Rand, Army Corp of Engineers.


So maybe we can get our park back.

At least this past week, he has quit leaving his boats tied to the dock. Something has changed. I will check this afternoon to see if his "customers" are still clogging the ramp with their cars. Also they need to quit trashing the place. This guy is slightly more pleasant than the Yankee running it last year. That is the only decent thing I can say. If the city is going to wait for complaints to do something, I will get a pass for Highland Village next year. Seems like a bad way to run things from a parks and rec dept known for running things bad to begin with.
