I have mostly used live bait and sometimes cut bait but have put some thought into trying a punch bait. Most for the last minute decision to go fishing.

What are you guys using?
I see a lot of talk about Stubys. Is that a punch bait?
Also see where ProAngler sells a brand called David Kings.

Any info or suggestions very welcome

Thanks

No not a punch bait, Stubby's is a cheese bait you make into a tear dropped shape ball it does not STINK . Install bait ball on a number 4 treble hook. It is heavy enough to sink with no weight. Stubby is a great guy he also makes fishing poles.

I assume you form the tear drop shape around the hook, not before.

I make the tear drop shape and then stick the hook into it and reshape. You can do it anyway you choose it doesn't even have to be a tear drop shape it can be a ball, triangle, chunk as long as it stays on the hook.

I might add braided line and a spinning rod helps a lot.

Big Marv's Cheese Bait is good it's a punch bait made from fermented cheese and ground chicken guts. It does stink !

I dont use it because I cant stand treble hooks or getting that stinky stuff on my hands and clothes. Cut bait usually works better and its easier to deal with. Youll be better off just keeping some salted frozen shad, bluegill, or carp in your freezer.

I think it does great. In this heat, you'll want to thicken it with flour or fibers.

Stubby's is for a Treble hook. I think Stubby uses a 4 ot trebel hook with no weight on as well. Stubby's is a great bait to use.
