So i will be going to broken bow in September with the family and extended family. i have been asked to take my bass boat. as much as i would love to be on the water fishing, i have explained to them that taking my boat wont really be ideal. no one in this group are fisherman and at most i can take 4 people out at a time (3 comfortably). i lost the argument and i am taking the boat. other that buying an Oklahoma fishing license, what else do i need or need to know? luckily i have the lake master chips that include this area. Again, any tips or need to know would be helpful.

Definitely take it!
The lake is beautiful. As long as you have a good map chip, you are GTG.
Check out the cliffs cove up on the north bend. Lots of boats anchored out and everyone diving off the cliffs...its a blast. (don't waste time bringing an anchor---its over 100' deep)

We didn't set the world on fire fishing but Mama and the boys loved the lake and the cliffs

-If girls in the group like wine---send them to Girls Gone Wine
-must eat at Grateful Head Pizza and Schuck Me
-ok license can be done online for like $12 or at any of the gas stations there
-take kids down the river on one of the kayak float trips

Not sure that worked or not. It has been years and I mean years since I've been down there. Back in the day every tourney trail used to start the year there. Always loved that lake. There was a gravel pile/slide that kind of fell off into a creek channel roughly where the pin is. There used to be a tree in the water that you could use for a reference of where it was. Always sat back and kind of threw at the tree. The smallies would stack up on it at times.

thanks all for the info. Also, are the laws the same. life jacket on board for each person? don't have to have it on but must be in the boat?

Don't know about the Oklahoma laws but it's just common sense to have them, even better to actually wear them

In Texas an inflatable does not count as a personal flotation device unless you have it on. I would bet it is the same in most states.
