Hey guys, For Texas lakes, which do you prefer? Lakemaster or Navionics? I have a Humminbird helix and would like to know some opinions on the best charts to use.

Lakemaster here too. Gets the most out of your Humminbird

Since Lakemaster does not have as many waters covered as Navionics, you should check if either or both has the coverage you want. With Lakemaster, only the ones designated as Lakemaster High Definition Survey* are the good ones and done by guys like this:

Both, one company may have a better detailed and more accurate lake mapped out than the other. Lakemaster has more features but the lakes I fish navionics shows structure the lakemaster doesn't.

Navionics is more accurate for the lakes I fish in Central Texas. Lakemaster is so far off that I can't really use the follow the contour.

I have both and it really depends on the lakes you fish the most.

It does depend on the lakes you frequently fish. I have both and seldom use the lakemaster. I have it in my helix 10 for a backup if needed. The navionics card is in my humminbird down imaging unit and works well and is more accurate on my lakes. Lakemaster is about 50 ft off on most structure in Eagle mountain or at least the one I have is.

Thanks everyone. I looked at the lake list for Lakemaster and the lakes I fish most have the hi def survey. I think that's what I will go with. Appreciate the help.

Have Lakemaster in my Humminbirds and use Navionics on my I-Pad.

Hey, I have the Humminbird LakeMaster PLUS Chart - Midsouth States V3 I bought brand new in May. Used in my Helix 9
I'd sell it for $125 which is $25 cheaper than online.
The only reason I'd sell it is because I want the Smart Strike feature. LMK
