I am looking for recommendations for a Yamaha Specialist in the North Dallas area.
I have a 1989 Excel 225 V6. Been having issues with quality of running. I have to bump the choke
every time it is started, as well as any time accelerating from idle. Sometimes several times. It also
tends to pulse when running at full throttle.
Recently had the carbs cleaned and rebuilt, the reeds replaced, new fuel pumps, new reeds, new
fuel/water separator and fuel lines and bulb. Also had the top end de-carboned. Spent quite a bit
to have it running as poorly as it does.
Thanks for any suggestions/recommendations/experiences.

I use Service Marine out at Lake Fork. Best I have dealt with.
