with Lonestar Law on TV it has made finding a Game Warden job hard. Now they need park rangers which are state police and get the same training as Game Wardens but they just patrol the state park. I know several of the east Texas GW's and there advice was become a park ranger..

My Son in Law went through the process for both, got down to the last 100 applicants for 30 total academy spots(GW and PR) out of a whole lot more than that and did not make it in. Process took almost a year to get through. Our understanding is they will not have an academy next year so he is pursuing other agencies. It is very tough to get in to say the least!

Glad the dock thing seems to have settled down!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I'd bet that there hasn't been a fish caught in, on, or around that dock in years....it's the principle, right? I still like it. GJ!

Ive had several incidents like this on Lake Conroe. They usually say they are gonna call the law and I also tell them to please call them but they never will. Ill just laugh it off and keep fishing.

I'd make it a point to get them to have to remove their "swimming hole."

Law enforcement tells you how to handle the situation as stated in this thread earlier. They tell you to stay calm, video the situation, and call them. Last year a friend and I were fishing about 100 yards in front of a dock on Lake Houston and a guy on the dock got mad at us and came out to us on his jet ski. He and my friend got into an argument and he then ran his jet ski in a circle around us. He was so close that he threw water on me while I was in the middle of the boat and it was the spray from the inside of the jet ski, not the outside. End result was that the lake patrol told us that since my buddy cussed at him they could do nothing. I guess one person cussing dismisses three class B crimes by the other. I am 100% law enforcement and wore the uniform working the streets over 20 years ago, but I cannot understand the refusal of DA's or law enforcement being unwilling to enforce laws.

Thats just ridiculous. Makes it hard to trust the authorities to handle things.

This has been fantastic. As a dock owner, the next time I see someone fishing my green light, Im going to throw him a cold beer and wish him the best.
