First time night fishing at Falcon Lake . That lake turns on stayed a few hours and caught over 40 . Going to spend more time doing that .

Why what�s wrong with that ?

Nothing. There's just a narrative that so many things happen on Falcon between bass fisherman and the cartel on Falcon. I can say I have never had an issue, and have been to Falcon many times. I would fish it at night, however, I've never really thought about it after a 12 hour day on the water there. I have my opinion on what most of these "encounters" on the water are, but it won't be popular so I'll keep it to myself.

Interesting. Everyone else gets off the water well before dark.. props to you if you want to night fish out there.

I've been fishing Falcon multiple times a year since 2006. I love the place but if you ever see me out on the lake after dark and I don't have boat problems grab me by the ears and shake for a while.

We were down the about 12-15 yrs ago. Catching fish in coyote and kept fishing till about 10:30

Green horn I will put it easy if you are getting �encountered � at night it�s because you are running south bound money to Mexico or trying to hump dope to the United States . No issues fishing at night . Downtown Houston or the east side of San Antonio walking those streets . Talk about danger there . I almost had to shoot a guy after the cowboys game in Arlington that tried to rob me . That�s dangerous fishing at night is a cake walk .

Actually, the entire southern border is the gateway for criminal illegal aliens. Run into them all the time on our place 26 miles NE of Laredo. But I get what you're saying about Falcon and cartel activity. That's why I chose long ago not to fish Falcon at night.

I've fished after dark in the Valeno a few times, but I stay off the main lake. Usually pack it up around 9:30 - 10:00. Just my personal opinion.

I don't think you've had to cut a gillnet out of your prop in the dark yet.

All it takes is once. Keep that in mind.
