After seeing many folks have $150-$500 annual premiums for their bass boat, with values from 10k to 50k, I'm stumped.
Progressive quoted me $1100/year... 400% more than I expected. This is on a 20 year old boat with a Mercury EFI 225, replacement value of $12,000 and full coverage except uninsured/medical, $500 deductibles.
Background: 0 insurance claims and 0 violations in the past 5 years. 17 years of boating experience but haven't purchased boat insurance before. Thoughts?

I shopped around and found Travelers the cheapest. I recently burned a cylinder and needed a rebuild. Travelers covered it $7,000! Im now a loyal customer!

I have Progressive through him for a third what they quoted you and I have agreed value higher than what you were quoted on an older boat

Mine is thru Bob at progressive as well. Think I'm paying about 360 a year but will tell you this. Someone just stole my humminbird and messed up my trolling motor and progressive was more than fair in covering the loss. In fact they waved the deductible because I had never filed a claim before.
