Hi guys, going to Corpus this weekend, I'm new to saltwater fishing, just going for some fun with the family but I want your advise to have some fishing while I'm there.....any good advise, is better to go for reds or trout this time of the year, it is better to surf fishing or better to look on packery channel or some other point that is not the beach?

Any information will be appreciated since I do not know much about this type of fishing....

Regards

This time of year if you don't have a boat I would go to pins and drive down the beach until you see the bait and or birds working in a gut . By boat I have done really well In The second gut when I find mullet getting pushed to the top by trout

Jerry Jones makes me drink.

Go to Bob Hall Pier at night with speck rigs under the lights. Tie on a coastlock swivel so you can change them out quickly. Fishing is better in the middle of the night when the crowds die down. If possible, present your lure parallel to the pier.

I'm not a chick.
