Our roommate, Alex, had never caught a fish, so we took her out to Lake Bryan with us this past Sunday. Unfortunately, I forgot the rod stand... so we had to improvise. We had brought some inner tubes, so we just started floating around, fishing both hair rigs with corn and plain #2 octopus hooks with bread. Alex almost instantly landed 2 commons, back to back, within 15 minutes of each other! For the next hour or two, the three of us all landed several small blue and channel catfish (over 10 together). As the sun set, I floated out and cast out one last piece of bread, and ended up landing a small common myself. Altogether a great day of fishing.
Because Who needs boats when you have inner tubes?
