When do they start selling next years fishing licenses? I tried to buy one at Academy in Flower Mound last Friday and it turned into a big fiasco so I left without it.

My GF bought one 2 weeks ago, good for one year from date of purchase.......at Academy....fishing only

You can buy a year to date one. Isn't the year from date tag only available for fresh+salt combo licenses only? Or am I mistaken in this?
