Would like to take a weekend trip from Paris, Texas to do a day of offshore fishing. Where would you recommend going and guide recommendation?

I really depends a bunch on how far you want to travel. You could get to Venice, LA almost as quick as Freeport.

Go to Venice. I fish there 8 to 10 times a year. Try to go late October thru febuary
