Has anyone tried F11 topcoat on their boat to help with light or dull oxidation ?

I'm thinking that, at best, it would be a band-aid.
Depending on level of oxidation, you could wet sand and buff or perhaps just buff and then apply a protective product. The more I read about the F11, the more I'm less inclined to use it.

Plenty of products out there that will make a dull surface shine but it doesnt remove the problem. Depending on how bad it is you either have to buff it out or wet sand to remove oxidation. Do it right the first time and it will last longer

I would never again use it on a vehicle or a boat. I saw the ads and talked to somebody who had supposedly tried it, so I ordered some and tried it on my black pickup. The reason I wanted to try it was just for the protection it was supposed to provide as the 2 year old paint looked great. I'm not sure what went wrong, but my 2 year old pickup went from looking good to having an eggshelled and hazy finish in about 6 weeks after putting topcoat on it. Over the six weeks you could see it getting worse and worse. I tried washing it like crazy, took it to a detail shop who looked at it, said the clear coat was damaged and recommended about $1,200 worth of paint restoration that "might fix the issue, otherwise it will need a new clear coat".

Maybe it was a coincidence and the topcoat f11 wasn't responsible for the issue but as I said before, the paint looked great before using it.

There are a couple snake oil gel coat quick fix restore products out there, it looks good at first but then you get the eggshell problem in the future, the only way to do it correctly is wet sanding if you have enough gel left to work with.

Pledge will do the same thing F11 will do for a boat and you get that lemony smell. HA
