Getting this interference on my 998 SI on the DI and one side of SI. It's installed at the console of my center console with a spring loaded protection plate. It was installed by Shutup and Fish. I have added a swim platform above the transducer, but seems odd that would change anything below it. DI contrast is turned up to 10 just to show it better, but even with lower contrast still shows. I mean you can see the bottom so it doesn't mess with fishing that much, but still. You think it's the transducer or graph?

It's gonna be the swim ladder. The 998 has blended di meaning the di views is created by the si beams overlapping below the transducer to create a computer generated di. If anything obstructs the si beams it will also show up on the di views as well

yea, but the platform is above the transducer. So why would that be an issue? I can get it moved if needed just don't want to unless I have to.

and thanks everyone for the replies

Humminbird's SI "sees" from the water's surface to past vertical under the transducer on both sides. That is why a hole shot plate or some cover is needed for a SI transducer on a jackplate.

Even with Skeeters and the extended mounting with a Transducer Shield and Saver mount to get below the hull sponsons, it still "sees" inside the jackplate.
