Kind of a long shot here, but does anyone have any tips on bass fishing at Bull Shoals? I'll be headed up there in a week and will unfortunately be limited to fishing from the bank. We are staying in a cabin in a lakeside park just above the dam. Any tips on lures, colors, etc are much appreciated as I have never bass fished outside of Texas and know that clear water fishing is a totally different ballgame.

Give Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock and Marina a call/visit when you get into town. They are good about helping folks out. There are a couple guides that operate out of there and they have good tackle/lures at the marina.

Big Red's Bait and Tackle is another good spot to check for advice and gear; they've got a lot of good budget to high-end stuff.

Alls I can tell you is light fluorocarbon line and natural colored light jigs/shaky head worms. And bring a bunch because you'll probably lose a bunch in the rocks.

Also, great breakfast at Connie's Cafe and dinner at 178 Club. Really good food for a tiny town.
