Trevor. I bit the bullet and called DPS. after several word puzzles I finally got a human female. She spoke English and pretty well satisfied me that she knew her stuff. She had heard of this before and even came right out and said a DD214 should be enough. She had a hard time accepting that some folks just do not have, and cannot get a birth certificate. She finally got it when I told her you were born in a barn way out in the country and nobody else was there except you and your mom. Then her light came on. Ohhh she said, I see.

After a lengthy discussion we agreed that we had missed nothing and they we could do nothing from within DPS to remedy this oversight. She agreed to spread this issue around DPS, so at least more folks inside DPS will know of this.

We also agreed that you would be justified to contact your state rep or our great governor and/or Dan the weatherman Lt Gov regarding this.

Went back to a very seldom used Safety Deposit Bank vault, Found my outdated (Aug 2002) Passport, took it in, they looked at the picture and accepted it, who would have known.......I'm now officially able to operate a motor vehicle for two more years.

I just renewed mine in April. The lady told me to hang on to my expired license b/c if I lost this one I could use my expired license to get a new one.
