I want to install a fishing line spooler in my boat. Had one in my Skeeter and asking TFF for any input on aftermarket product.

Thanks

I watched a Timmy Horton show just last week and his advise is to pull the spool out, tie the leader on the reel just like normal, drop the spool in the water and start winding. Just be sure to grab the spool quickly when you are done filling it as it will sink slowly, so make sure when you drop it in the water, its near the boat and you are sitting near it.

A 2x4 with 3" screws in it works great. Can put several spools on so you always have the line you need

I just use one with a suction cup and stick on the console when I need. Inexpensive and works for me.

I saw someone at the Sealy Outdoors selling one but didn't get the info - wonder if Skeeter would sell one ?

I assume the livewell would work without the risk of sinking the spool.

Doesnt work in the livewell.

Stealth tackle, a Muskie fishing co, makes a good one, I dont know if it is meant to be mounted in a boat, but you might be able to get creative and come up with an idea.

Really? Cant tell if your being serious or not. Works fine for me. I always spool up dropping the spool in the live well when I change line while on the lake.

Keep a Jewel Baits Pro Spooler in one of my compartments (not mounted though). If needed I can grab it and throw it on the seat or floor or deck. Really easy to use. The water trick works well too, even in the livewell.
