In my boat building I found cotton fibers sold in packs.: https://www.duckworks.com/product-p/eb-mcf-parent.htmI've used cotton balls in the past but boat builder use shredded cotton fibers in boat building. Before anyone talks about cattail, I live in Alabama, and they don't grow here. For anyone wanting an alternative for whatever reason, check out these cotton fibers sold at most boat building supply places.

I knew someone was going to say cattails even though I mentioned how they don't grow in my area.

My buddy and I fished with Stan Khunns last week on Fork. He uses a stink bait called J Pigg. This bait comes with cotton mixed in the bait. We were off the lake before 10am with a double limit of nice size eaters. We only fished two spots that morning. I love the fact that you can catch many fish before you have to rebait because the cotton along hold the scent for a while.

Willie, I'm just glad to see you back again. Always enjoy your posts.
Boats are like Strippers. They work until you quit throwing $100 bills at them.
