Husbands that call their wives "mama" is just disturbing. Just say "the wife" or better yet, just call her by her real name. Mama wants to do this or Mama cooked me this for dinner is creepy and sounds very red neckish.

If she's the mother of your children then she's a mama.
How about the woman's children?
Should they call her by her "real" name?
If a child ask their father "can I have some candy" should the father say "go ask Linda"?
Likewise, when the children ask their mother about something should she say "go ask Bill"?

I support this post. Fathers calling their daughters baby girl is also weird to me for some reason.

If you call anyone "mama" that is not your actual mother, you've got some borderline serious issues and probably need to see a therapist.

I had a manager once at a large corporation that he and his whole family used the terms Mother, Father, Son and Daughter. I thought that it was just him that was mental when he referred to them as Mother, Son and Daughter. "Mother and Daughter went shopping this weekend." " Son and Mother cleaned the backyard". Then at a company outing they were all there. I heard them calling each other the same. "Mother, where is Father going to sit?" "Well Daughter, Father can sit by Son and I will set to the left of Father". It was crazy.

Mama said she wanted a good dinner so me and mama went down to Luby's and had the square fish.

Mama said she wanted to improve the house so I went and got some of that metal underpinning to put around the trailer.

Mama was feeling a little frisky so we put the young'uns to bed and skedaddled back to the bedroom for a little hoochie koo.

I don't care what your kids called your wife because she is their mother. I'm talking about what you call your wife and you should never call her "mama".

Same with giving them Mother's Day presents.

If this bothers someone enough to make a public post on a message board I agree that maybe a therapist is in order.

Affectionate pet names among an intimate couple is all their bidness and shouldn't be anyone else's.

Jus sayin

Always refer to the main dish and side dish as "baby" it simplifies the trouble.

Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

God doesn't create temporary people, you will spend eternity somewhere. Choose wisely.
