Back from the Everglades and have a prize package to give away to the first person who posts correct answer at or after 12:00 Noon (Friday 7/19). Any correct answer posted before 12:00 noon, Central Time is DQed. roflmao This gives anyone interested a chance to win that isn't up late tonight.

I visited the Skunkape Research Center and Headquarters while in Chokolosskee, FL last week, trying to figure out if if it were real. Here is the question that must be answered if you watch the video below. Why did the guy's girlfriend of 7 years, leave him? Hint: She left him for the same reason people watch the video.

I have an answer, but it wouldn't be polite to post on a public forum.

Man I love the skunk apes and bigfoots.

I listen to Sasquatch Chronicles all the time. BFRO has several reports from Texas. Down around Crockett National Forest, Toledo Bend and then up North East around the Caddo Grasslands is a hot spot... Watch out Hop!

The MeatEater podcast has an episode on Bigfoot. Its really good. The podcast itself is awesome, but that episode in particular is great.

He went on TV and talked about the skunk ape and his girlfriend said all her friends in the office saw it and he looked like an idiot and after 7 years she dumped him... just because of that...

What a B.

His video was a life changing inspiration to me.

Wrong. Whether he actually looked like an idiot on the shows was never confirmed in his soliloquy...they just SAID he looked like an idiot. Theres a huge difference.

I will wear the skunk ape hat with pride!

You know they say the skunk apes are much smaller than the other bigfoots due to their habitat being more open and having less very large game. They are said to eat more fish and snakes where in the "Patty" type bigfoots of the west are deer and even elk and moose eaters. The Texas bigfoots are kind of in the middle. Not the 12 foot tall 1,000lb beasts of the Pacific Northwest but larger than the skunk ape which often is only 6 to 7 feet tall and can be under 400lbs.

Skunk apes are a sort of sub species of the bigfoots much like the Florida Panther... like its larger cousin of the broader US but smaller due to habitat, diet and isolation from genes of its cousins.
