Been doing more evening fishing lately to stay out of the heat. Figured a short wading trip would be nice. Decided to wade below Faust Bridge. Figured the 4th of July crowd would be dispersed a bit. Not as much as I wanted but still fishable. I never catch sunfish in this spot, but still love to try. This day the target was bass. I have a new trick I want to try at this spot for Redbreasts, but more on that later. Anyway, this is a vid of my friend Ds nice smallie she caught. Im very new at this so forgive the spotty camera work and some rough language.

Nice fish. I would say it's a Small Mouth! If it's a Guadalupe,it's one big one!

Nice Small Mouth! Happy Angler indeed!  Dunlap at one time had a nice population of Small Bass Bass!  Side Note: Neat video clip Torry!

I appreciate the love, yall! Yeah, the Smallmouth introduction was not TPWDs brightest moment for sure, but they are fun to catch while they are here. We have a lot of pure Guads in the SA and other CenTex rivers thanks to TPWD! Still a lot better than other states. Love that Guadalupe River and Guadalupe Bass!!!
