You need lines drawn on a surface so you know how to park without having an anxiety attack? Wow, it sounds like you need a lot more practice backing and parking a boat.
When the hill was washed out, I backed the boat down the hill from the parking lot with no problems at all. Its not that hard to do.

I agree, and like I said above, they did a great job fixing the road and hill to the ramp. They could have left it the way it was but chose to fix it so some of you need to quit complaining. There are plenty of other lakes you can go to if this ramp and parking lot bothers you that much.

I THINK what he was saying, is that numb nutz park their trailer half crooked without lines and take up way too much space. So in a lot where you could make 25 parking spots there ends up being room for 18. I know it's more fun to flame people, but i agree and get the point breakdance

There is more parking at Welsh than just at the parking lot, you can also park down a couple of roads that are there unless you need to have lines drawn to show you how to park. If it is that hard for you to park, maybe you should take up golf instead. My gosh, some of you sound like 2 year olds whining about everything.

The road going down to the ramp from the lot is groomed pretty well now. the ramp is still a little bit sketchy but the improvements are nice. Now if they could just get that light off of a timer.

I agree some people have no respect for others or just don't know how to park. No common sense.

Anyone remember when the "store" closed I started fishing Welch back in the late 90's and remeber the old building was there and they had some parking in the "lot" but I don't remember the store ever being open.

I think the guys name was Gerald that owned the store, he unfortunately drowned at not long after his death the store closed. Thought many times about contacting whoever has possession and leasing it for winter months , but eer year it sat the cost of bringing it back has gone up, but sell a lil gas, some burgers & beers, a little tackle & maps, i thnk a fella would make a little bit in the winter

It'll be nice to not have to shift into 4-low when backing my boat in.

Kudos to SWEPCO.They have put down hardback new culverts and have bladed the silt off the ramp. Still working on some other stuff. Hopefully they'll fix the light at the ramp. Lake is low, lots of stumps showing.
